Luis Ortiz Garcia

Luis O. Garcia, 71, of Mountville, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, at Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, to the late Luis Garcia and Maria Ortiz.

Luis proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked as a custodian at Millersville University until his retirement.

Luis was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite teams. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the time he shared with those he loved.

He is survived by his loving partner of twenty years, Cynthia Eichelman; his children, Anna Garcia, Angel Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia, and Jordan Garcia; and his siblings, Ferdinand Garcia, Miriam Casanova, Eileen Garcia, Mariano Garcia, Richard Garcia, Anita Ortiz, Ismael Ortiz, and Iris Ortiz.

Along with his father Luis, he was preceded in death by his sister, Miriam Rivera.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes & Crematory 414 E. King Street, Lancaster PA, 17602, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, with an arrival time of approximately 2:00 p.m.
