Lori A. Patterson Neiswender, 61, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Jennersville, PA, she was the daughter of Dorothy Fetter and the late Joseph Patterson.
Lori spent much of her professional life as a waitress, forming meaningful connections with her regular customers and community alike. Notably, she spent over 18 years at Olde Hickory Grille in Lancaster. Outside of work, you could find Lori reading horror and thriller novels or crafting things such as custom t-shirts, mugs, wood burning, and even furniture. Above all, Lori treasured her family, loving to spend time with them and play the occasional practical joke or two. She was stalwart and independent, and will be remembered by many for her carefree spirit.
Lori is survived by her mother; children Amy (Richard) Mahala, Steven (Dalanna) Pittman, Mary (Ronald) Pittman, and Michael (Sunny) Patterson-Ewell; stepson Chad (Megan) Neiswender; grandchildren Skye, Autumn, Aiden, Ryan, Abigale, Riley, Evan, Zane, Natalie, Blake, Charlotte, Stella, and Jack; great-grandchildren Presley and Parker; siblings Joseph (Kelly) Patterson Jr., and Donna (Glenn) Patterson; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in passing by her father; and previous husband Larry Neiswender.
A celebration of Lori’s life and time of sharing will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 3PM at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will be receiving guests prior to the celebration of life beginning at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lori’s name may be made to the Water Street Mission’s Women’s Shelter in Lancaster by visiting wsm.org/ways-to-give/donate/.
