Linda A. Stark

Linda A. Stark, 85, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on August 6, 2026 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mabel (Nuss) and Albert W. Eyman, and step-father Paul Young. Born with a heart full of kindness and a smile that never faded, Linda spent her life lifting others with her warmth, positivity, and unwavering love.

Linda was the devoted wife of John K. Stark for nearly 57 years, a marriage filled with joy, adventure, and deep companionship. Together they traveled, boated, visited beaches, attended Drum Corp International competitions, and shared countless memories — from Las Vegas trips to quiet evenings watching Blue Bloods. Their bond was the center of her world, and she carried his love with her every day.

Linda created a warm, welcoming home throughout her life. She took pride in keeping everything spotless and loved cooking. Some of her favorites to cook were chicken pot pie, brown butter potatoes, deviled eggs, and most famous of all — her cherry cream cheese pie. She carried herself with a timeless sense of style, always perfectly put together with her jewelry, her hair, and her makeup done each day. She also loved the simple comfort of having the Hallmark Channel on, and she had a well-known sweet tooth — with coffee and peanut butter swirl ice cream being her favorite treat.

Linda worked at Turkey Hill for 30 years and later at Rite Aid for 12, forming friendships everywhere she went. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, seen, and cared for. She held a deep love and respect for the military, especially the Air Force, where her beloved husband proudly served. She treasured all holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, finding her greatest joy in being with family and in giving gifts that made others smile. In her later years, she found comfort in simple pleasures like coloring, puzzles, card games, bingo, and attending her daily devotions.

She held close the memory of her 3 sisters and 1 brother, whom she loved and missed very much, and she now joins them again in heaven. She is survived by her 3 children: Melanie married to Eugene, William married to Gretchen and Carol married to Kevin; Nanny had an especially close relationship with her eldest granddaughter Heather. 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as “Nanny” and held a very special place in her heart. She will be missed more than words can express.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 414 East King St, Lancaster, PA 17602. Friends and family will be received from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
