Linda Grebinger, 83, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Legends of Lancaster after struggling with dementia. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Robert "Bob" Grebinger, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage before his passing.
Born on October 14, 1942, in Lancaster, PA, Linda was the daughter of the late William and Edna Carson. She was a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School.
Throughout her life, Linda was fortunate to be able to spend several years at home when her children were young. She later worked for Lancaster Newspapers as a Teletype Operator and for WGAL in the Traffic Department for at least a decade.
One of Linda's greatest delights was cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was an amazing cook! Family gatherings and holidays were one of the most important times for her. Linda loved spending time with her two grandchildren, who brought iso much joy to her life, and she was active in their lives as much as possible.
Some of her interests were gardening, riding bike, the beach, skiing, and spending time with her husband, Bob, at the family cabin in Potter County. She also loved cruising to the Islands with him.
Linda will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Wendi Grebinger, of Lancaster; granddaughter, Brittany Pastrana, wife of Alec Pastrana, of Lancaster; son, Derek Grebinger, of Lancaster; grandson, Grant Grebinger, of Lancaster; sister, Judy Landon, of Chincoteague, Virginia; and brother, William Carson, of Ocean City, Maryland. In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sheri Grebinger.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Legends of Lancaster for the care, kindness, and love they showed Linda throughout the past year and the extra love they gave her family.
A funeral service honoring Linda's life will be held Monday, October 12, 2026, at 11:30am at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lancaster. Family and friends are invited to a viewing prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Burial will follow the service at Conestoga Memorial Park.
