Lenore M. Frey, 91, of Lititz, was taken home to heaven on Saturday, August 22. Lenore Miller Frey was born in South Canaan, PA on December 16, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Miller.
Lenore married Roger N. Frey on June 5, 1954 and together they raised a family and were the owners of RN Frey Heating and Plumbing in Sparta, NJ. Roger and Lenore enjoyed traveling the country in their RV, especially when accompanied by family. They were active members of Monroe Bible Chapel (Monroe, NJ) and then later Newton United Reformed Church (Newton, NJ). After retiring and moving to Lititz, PA in 2009, the two were active members at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, PA. They especially loved to hear about and pray for missionaries around the world, and chaplains in the armed forces.
Lenore was preceded in death by Roger Frey, her husband of 66 years. Surviving are her daughter Deborah Dykstra (husband David), of Wrightsville, PA, son Jeffery (wife Carol), of Escondido, CA, and son Rick (wife Lori), of Lititz, PA. She was predeceased by son Peter in 1978. Lenore is survived by 9 grandchildren and their spouses, and 29 great-grandchildren and their spouses.
Additionally, Lenore is survived by her brother Ernest (Pete) Miller of South Canaan. She was predeceased by her brothers Don Miller and Randy Miller, and her sister Lois Shaffer. There are many surviving nieces and nephews.
Lenore is fondly remembered for her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her quick and friendly smile, her amazing apple pie, and her love for singing hymns and enjoying church music. Her children and grandchildren are thankful for her faithful, daily prayers for them over the span of their whole lives.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2026 at Westminster Presbyterian Church (Reformation Room), 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA, 17601. The funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst, PA at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, August 29.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward Westminster Presbyterian Church’s Christian Education Scholarship Fund. Donations can be mailed to 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
