Lee S. Kinsey

Lee S. Kinsey, 76, of Lancaster, PA passed away on April 10, 2026 from a prolonged illness at Trillium Place. Born in Eden Township, PA, he was the son of the late Walter and Alma (Hauck) Kinsey. Lee was the loving husband of over 23 years to K. Kristine Douglas-Kinsey.

Lee was a project manager for 36 years at Goodhart Sons. He was passionate about hunting and enjoyed time with his hunting buddies. He treasured his hunting brotherhood and would enjoy his stays at the Lanchester Lodge, Nanty-Glo, PA. Woodworking was Lee’s favorite hobby. The thing he really loved about woodworking was making things for other people, making special memories and sharing them. Hundreds of people have something that Lee made as simple as a wooden pen or wooden wine stopper to small wooden decorations. Lee would work and participate in the woodworking shop at Woodcrest Villa. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s activities including baseball and dance recitals.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Kris, are his children: Pamela Howe and Lee S. Kinsey, Jr.; stepsons: Casey Douglas, husband of Shannon, Greg Douglas, and his partner Yvette Cabeza, and Chad Douglas, husband of Jocelyn; grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Jaxson Douglas and Zachory Casanova; siblings: Marian Roten of Quarryville, Linda Kinsey of Harrisburg, and Teresa Murry of Drumore; and a nephew, Wes Kinsey.

Lee was preceded in death by his siblings: Beulah Lehman, Ray Kinsey, Mabel Siegrist, Martha Kinsey-Sandoval and Leon Kinsey (Lee’s twin who died at birth); and his dog, Kody.

People will remember Lee for his playful, troublemaking spirit and his tendency to tease those around him — always in good fun and always leaving people smiling.

Friends will be received on April 24, 2026 from 10-11 AM with a Celebration of Lee’s Life to begin at 11 AM at Woodcrest Villa Eagle Commons Chapel, 2001 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lee’s memory may be made to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Hwy E, Lancaster, PA 17602.
