Obituary

Larry G. Neuhauser, 55, of Lancaster, passed away, Sunday, September, 7, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was married to Doris a. (Dee) Gottschall-Neuhauser since February 13, 1999. Larry was born in Lancaster February 13, 1953, the son of the late Victor and Margaret Neuhauser and his step mother the late Jessie M. Neuhauser.

A licensed Pennsylvania Auctioneer since 1981, he originated the Annual Hospice of Lancaster County Labor Day Benefit Auction and also conducted and helped with other benefit auctions. He owned and operated Stuff and Stuff second hand store as well as Larry G. and Dee Oldies Disc Jockey Service, Neuhauser Security Service and in the fireworks business for several years. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, music, cooking, and gardening. Graduating from Pequea Valley High School, 1971, and Penna. School of Auctioneering from HACC. He was a member of the Penna. Auctioneers Assoc. and the Central Chapter of the Auctioneers Assoc. He was also a member of the Lancaster Moose Lodge # 299, Lancaster AM-vets post 19, Elizabethtown American Legion post 329, and the Sons of the American Legion. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lancaster.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons; James M. and Jeremy D. Neuhauser both of Lancaster. A step-son Mark M. Gottschall husband of Karen K. of Mountville. A sister Shirley A. wife of Charles Eugene Hess of Mount Joy. A ½ brother; Glenn B. Pike of Christiana, Pa. A ½ sister Deborah A Pike wife of G. Kent Ressler of Ronks. 3 step-sisters; Karen L. Pike wife of Daniel Fellenbaum of Coatesville, Ruth M. Pike /Cook of West Grove, and Cindy L. Pike of Gap. 3 grand daughters, a grandson, 5 great grandchildren, and his two pets that he loved so dearly; Rascal and Spunky.

He was preceded in death by a brother Ronald H. Neuhauser of Belleville and a step sister Bonnie Pike/ Darnell of Gettysburg.

Larry's life will be celebrated on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church 612 N. Duke St. Lancaster, PA 17602 with Rev. Richard S. Hill and Joseph R. Faith officiating and guest speaker Marlin Groff. The family will receive guests from 10 until 11 AM.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
