Kevin T. Lucas

Through many tears we announce the tragic passing of Kevin T. Lucas, aged 47 of Lititz, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Born and raised in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Howard Sr. and Margaret (Striver) Lucas. He shared over 24 years of love and memories with his wife, Diana Ashford.

To say Kevin was a family man, would be an understatement to the true testament of who he was, and how much his world revolved around those he loved. He treasured spending time with and creating memories with his children and grandchildren, all of whom were given special nicknames from him. He enjoyed cooking, hiking, dirt bike riding, playing basketball, and more importantly, bringing joy and laughter to others. His jokester personality will be missed by countless family and friends.

He is survived by his loved wife Diana, their children, Zion Cruz, Michael Ashford, Cherisse Ashford and Nicolas Ashford, all of Lititz; grandchildren, Precious Richardson, Myghti Young, Jaila Young, Nasir Newswan, Jah’mir Maxton, Nicolas Ashford Jr., Anthony Ashford, Nolan Ashford, Delaney Ashford, and Louis Valentin, and his siblings, Lorna English, Juanita Lucas, Rafus Lucas, Sarah Lucas, Joyce Lucas (Mark Ryner), and James Lucas. He was preceded in passing by his daughters, Santana Ashford and Gabrielle Ashford, a grandson, Jehu Young, and siblings, Judy Lucas, and Howard Lucas Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery at 1 PM, officiated by Rev. Edward Bailey.
