Kenneth Clayton “Ken” Kramer, 74, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on April 14, 2026. Born in Temple, PA, he was the son of the late Harry Kramer and Joan (Wilson) Gusler. He was married 56 cherished years to Yvonne (Mellott) Kramer.
Ken worked at the Landisville Foundry for many years and bartended at Lancaster Commercial Traveler’s Association. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving honorably during Vietnam and Korea aboard the USS Berkley and then USS Harold E. Holt. He was discharged in 1973 and enjoyed getting together for reunions with his shipmates. His loving, reserved, and joking personality allowed him to make friends with anyone. He was known for giving the best hugs and followed it up with the best smile. Kenny enjoyed golfing, playing pool, doing yardwork, jigsaw puzzles and word searches, and most of all, spending time with his dear family. For many years, Ken also played Santa and enjoyed giving back to his community.
In addition to his beloved wife Yvonne, Ken is survived by 2 daughters: Melanie Weir (Robert) and Lisa Smith (Anthony); 3 grandchildren: Jasmine Rosa, Tyler Rosa, and Avairy Smith; 3 great-grandchildren: Jaycee Modesto, Mars Rosa, and Alina Henson; brother Jimmy Kramer (Mel) and sister Karen Rutt (Keith). He was predeceased by his brother Harry “Skip” Kramer.
The family will receive guests from 9-11 AM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N George St, Millersville, PA 17551. A celebration of Ken’s life will begin at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Conestoga Memorial Park with military honors.
