Ken Hoshauer

Ken Hoshauer, 69, of Lititz, passed away on June 2, 2026, after a two-year battle with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer that he fought with bravery, strength and determination.

Born in 1956, Ken was married to Cathy Joan Kalbach, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. Ken and Cathy were inseparable as a couple for 51 years as the blueprint of a successful loving relationship.

If you knew Ken, you knew he had a passion for a lot of things in his life. A kid at heart until the day he passed; he loved classic cars, Flyers hockey, bowling, and all things Disney!

Ken could be seen on a weekly basis during car show season with his '67 or '84 Camaro during the day and getting dirty spectating at the dirt track races at night. He was also the Founder and President of the Susquehanna Valley Camaro and Firebird Club, and a member of the Vagabonds Rods & Custom Club and The Red Rose Antique Auto Club.

He was an experienced bowler, often dogged by the ten pin, but neither the illness nor the chemotherapy could stop him from achieving a perfect 300 game.

Ken's passion for Disney led him to vacations all over the world. He and Cathy frequented the parks and cruise ships all with their family and friends along for the wonderful ride.

In his professional life, Ken had a successful career in the home mortgage industry where he helped hundreds of families in the local area achieve their dream of home ownership. He found real joy in helping others through this process and was able to achieve an early retirement from working in 2016, which meant more Disney!

He was a great husband to Cathy, a great father to his children, and a great friend to all. His joy and passion for life was infectious to everyone around him even while at the Barshinger Center where he was known for his crazy Hawaiian shirts. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, Cathy, he is survived by his daughter, Valerie Zahm, and her husband, Brad; his son, Chris and his wife, Kjirsten Coleman; his sister, Nancy Weiss; his cherished great-nephews, Adam, Ben, Theo, and Ollie, and his loving Kalbach family. With one of the roughest starts in life, he managed to prosper with a wealth of friends and family.

Friends and family are invited to drive their classic and muscle cars to a visitation on Monday June 8, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA 17543, from 4 to 6 pm, followed by a memorial service at 6 pm.
