June was the daughter of the late James F. and Elizabeth S. Geiter, Lancaster, PA. She was married to the late Richard L. Wilson for 53 years before his death on July 4, 1996.
June was employed as a cashier at ACME Markets when it was at the Manor Shopping Center before her retirement.
June is survived by her daughter, Suzette Lawrence (Robert), Millersville, PA; grandchildren: Amelia J. Smulktis of Lititz, PA and Kenton J. Miller of Millersville; great-grandchildren: Evelyn June and Charlotte Rose Smulktis and Landon James and Kennedy Lynn Miller; a son, Richard L. Wilson (Evelyn) of St. George, UT; grandson, Mark A. June was predeceased by a grandson, Richard Harry Wilson and a great-great granddaughter, both of CA; her siblings: Richard Geiter, James Geiter, Betty Tretter, Lucille Zipp and Sylvia Reighard.
Suzette and her family would like to thank the wonderful nursing staff and aides on Jackson Run and all the other staff members for taking such good care of June. And to the activity staff who got Mom to “exercise” even though she hated every minute of it. Mom loved each and every one of you.
June’s wish was to have no memorial service. There will be a small graveside service at Millersville Mennonite Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in June’s memory to Trillium Place, Benevolent Fund, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
