Julia Ann Mowrer

Julia A. Mowrer, 91, of Holtwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 28, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Ralph L. Bowers and Julia A. (Quino) Bowers.

Julia is survived by her daughters, Julia Houser and Dana Mowrer; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sister Jeannie Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Claude J. Mowrer, her sons, Claude J. Mowrer Jr. and Samuel A. Mowrer, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers.

The family extends gratitude to Amedisys Hospice Care for the compassionate care and support provided to Julia and her loved ones.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Family and friends are invited to visit with the family at the church prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
