Joyce E. Huber

Joyce E. (Eberle) Huber, 82, of Middletown, PA and formerly of Lancaster, PA, passed away at Hershey Medical Center on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

She was born in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Florence E. (Holbein) Eberle, and graduated from J. P. McCaskey High School with the Class of 1961.

Joyce worked in property management. She was a former member and Sunday School teacher at Grace E. C. Church in Lancaster. She had been active in the Ladies Auxiliary of AMVETS Post 19 in Lancaster.

She was feisty, spunky, fun, and loved crafting, especially sewing and crocheting. Joyce loved being surrounded by her family and watching the kids. Having a wild imagination, she was quite the storyteller. Joyce had a soft spot in her heart for animals. She enjoyed playing handheld video games, such as solitaire. She watched talk shows and The Young and The Restless. Joyce maintained a nice vegetable garden and canned her harvest. She also collected baby dolls.

Joyce’s family includes her daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” Huber, fiancé of Russ Weikel of Middletown, PA, her son, Robert D. Huber, husband of Mandee of East Liverpool, OH; her grandchildren, Nicole Miller, Hunter Miller, and Gabrielle Miller, and her great-grandson Jayden Miller, among many other grandchildren and great grands.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughters, Michelle Lynne Evert in 2016, and Diane M. Tharp in 2023; her brother, Joseph H. Eberle, Jr. and former husband, Robert C. Huber in 2001.
