Joyce was the beloved wife of Calvin Jay Frymyer Sr., sharing cherished memories. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Denise Pettyjohn Allen, Calvin Jay Jr., Kimberly, and Scott. Joyce found immense joy in being an integral part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives, always supporting them in their endeavors and celebrating their achievements. Her legacy of love continues through her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her vibrant spirit.
Throughout her career as a waitress in various restaurants across Lancaster County, Joyce formed deep connections with her customers, many of whom became dear friends. Her warm smile and attentive nature made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Joyce was a woman of adventure, known for her feisty spirit and love of living life on the edge. She delighted in family trips to the beach and the cabin, and her travels took her to several enchanting islands. Among her favorites were Aruba and St. Lucia. Joyce was also an avid reader, finding solace and joy in the pages of countless books until dementia gradually took that pleasure from her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Lafayette West Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, where Joyce resided for the past eight and a half years. Their loving care and support provided comfort and peace to Joyce and her family during her final years.
Family and friends will be received for a time of visitation from 10AM to 11AM, Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A service celebrating Joyce's life will follow at 11AM.
