Joshua J. "Josh" Ecenrode

Joshua J. "Josh" Ecenrode, 51, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at his home. Born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania he was the son of James "Jim" and Judith "Judy" Greiner Ecenrode. Josh was the loving significant other of Assunta Tarallo for 18 years. He proudly graduated from Warwick High School, class of 1994, where he took an interest in music and played the trumpet. Following that he began working at Weis Markets in Ephrata and later spent the next 25 years working at Stauffer's of Kissel Hill, Lititz as a clerk and in the shipping and receiving department.

Josh was an avid Las Vegas Raiders fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He had a servant's heart and was a volunteer firefighter for Rothsville Fire Company from 1993-2009. Josh found peace in the outdoors, frequently hunting in Perry County alongside his dad. Country music would often be playing when listening to music and they passed from this life on the same day as Dolly Parton. He could be found tinkering around the house but also working meticulously detailing American cars. He and Assunta often attended First Friday's together in Lancaster and were fortunate enough to travel to several new places such as New York City and Vermont in their time together.

 Surviving in addition to his parents and significant other, is a daughter, Brianna A. Ecenrode as well as his sister, Christina "Tina" A. wife of Troy Frey.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully attend a memorial service for Josh at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA 17543, on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
