Joseph John Kuen

Joseph John "Joe" Kuen, 52, of Ephrata, PA, passed away suddenly on July 9, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, Joe was the son of Maureen Artz. He graduated from George Washington High School in Philadelphia.

He recently began the path of an entrepreneur, as the owner of a food truck he would have called "Joe the Neighbor". His dream was to create a space for the community to come together to enjoy a meal together.

Joe loved fishing, camping, and being an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Above all, he cherished being a father in every way that counts to Shannon, who he affectionately called "Ham Bone" and her sister Hailey. He was a trusted friend, a kind and generous person, and someone who always made time for those he cared about.

Joe is survived by his beloved daughters, Shannon Hall and Hailey Grab; her children Samuel, Landon and Payton, who lovingly knew him as "Pop-Pop Joe." He is also survived by his mother, Maureen (William) Artz; his sister, Kristine (Vinny) Prescott; his stepsisters, Alanna (Keith) Shore and Esme Artz-Thomas; his stepbrother, Zachary (Brooke) Artz his dear friend, Deanna Soldanna; and many extended family members and lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Ferris.

A memorial Mass will be held on Friday July 31, 2026, at St. Bede the Venerable Parish, 1071 Holland Road in Holland, PA at 11am. Family invites guests to a time of greeting prior to service from 10am to 11am. Joe will be laid to rest privately at the convenience of family.
