It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Johnathan D. Leed, who left us far too soon on August 13, 2026. Born on March 29, 2000, in Lancaster, PA, Johnathan was a loving and caring individual who left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He had an insatiable love for life—whether he was hitting the gym, immersing himself in music, or expressing his creativity through rapping, Johnathan always filled the space around him with joy. He was particularly fond of the outdoors and cherished the moments he spent in nature, always finding peace in its beauty.
Johnathan shared especially close bonds with his brothers, Josiah Boyer and Nasir Hatfield Beard. Together, they created countless memories, exploring shared hobbies and navigating life’s ups and downs side by side. His best friend, Tiyae McCain, was a source of laughter and support in his life, and their friendship painted his days with happiness and camaraderie.
Johnathan is survived by his father, Archie Beard, husband of Turquoise Hatfield-Gray, his mother, Jennifer Leed; and his siblings: Kyla Leed, Olivia Beard, Josiah Boyer, Elijah Leed, and Nasir Hatfield Beard. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends, who remember him as a bright light in their lives.
As we honor his memory, family and friends will gather for a series of services. A viewing will take place at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St. Lancaster on August 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will commence at 1:00 pm, celebrating Johnathan's life, and concluding with a graveside service at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
In honor of Johnathan's spirit, we invite all who knew him to join us as we celebrate the beautiful life he lived. His memory will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the joy he brought to our lives and the love he shared with everyone around him.
Johnathan D. Leed, may you rest in peace. You will forever remain in our hearts.
