John A. Wright

John A. Wright, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. He was the devoted husband of the late Letha Wright, who preceded him in death in 2024.

Born in Dillon, SC, he was the son of the late Ann Eliza (Fulmore) Wright.

Mr. Wright was employed with Armstrong World Industries for many years before his retirement. Outside of work, he played semi-professional baseball, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed wrestling. He loved family trips and attending family reunions. He was a member of Lancaster Lodge No. 43, F. & A. M and the Lancaster Elks Lodge #134.

Surviving John are his children, Elsie Shaw Coleman; Patricia Wright; John F. Wright; Tatia Wright; Teairy Wright, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila A. Wright; and his brother, Frank Wright, Sr.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his viewing in the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17692 on Friday, June 5, 2026 after 10:00 am, where his Homegoing Service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster.
