John F. Worthington Jr.

John F. "Jack" Worthington, Jr., 75, of Gap, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital. Born and raised in Narbeth, he was the son of the late John F. Sr. and Katharine Frazer (Loughlin) Worthington.

An auto mechanic by trade, Jack owned his own shop for a few years, Worthington's Auto, in Havertown. He also worked for Sears for almost 10 years as an appliance repairman.

Jack enjoyed working on anything mechanical. He was a car enthusiast, especially classic cars, and enjoyed going to car shows.

Jack is survived by his sister: Carolyn Ferguson, of Havertown; his niece, Carol Patterson, wife of Michael, of Swarthmore; his niece , Nancy Ferguson, wife of Joseph Clark; his great-niece, Emily Patterson, and great-nephew, Andrew Ferguson. He is also survived by his companion, Donna Dipietro. Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Marge Young.

Services for Jack will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's memory may be made to The Purple Heart Foundation.
