Joanne P. Good, 88, of Gap, PA died peacefully on March 25th at the Maple Farm Nursing Center in Akron, PA. Born October 2nd, 1937, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Stanley G. and Margaret Boettcher Pollock. She grew up in Coatesville, PA before moving to Gap in 1970. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Agnes Catholic School and a 1958 graduate of Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital nursing program. She was a registered nurse with the Coatesville Veterans Administration Hospital for 30 years.

She was the wife of William E. Good of Gap, to whom she would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on May 5th. They traveled the world together and enjoyed spending winters in sunny Florida. Joanne was an avid Phillies fan and loved reading, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving besides her husband are children, Karen, wife of Brian Hall of Gap, Donna, wife of Brian Norris of Atglen, and William, wife of Bobbie Jo Good of Quarryville, and a son-in-law, Brian Kauffman of Quarryville. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Kauffman who passed away in 2021, and a brother, Albert S. Pollock.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, April 2nd, at Chantry Place, 15 N. Bridge St. Christiana, PA 17509, with a time to greet the family from 5-7 PM.

The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Farm and Masonic Hospice for the love and care they provided over the last two weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Maple Farm Activities Department or Masonic Hospice in Elizabethtown.
