Jeffrey Alan Hauenstein

Jeffrey Alan Hauenstein, 74, of Lancaster, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Monday, July 7, 2026, following a hard-fought battle with cancer. The Family thanks the Staff on the 8th floor Lime for their care, kindness, and compassion. It was truly appreciated.

Jeff would have marked 40 years of marriage with his wife Cindy (Bush) Hauenstein this coming October.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James and Nancy (Gochnauer) Hauenstein.

Jeff graduated from Hempfield High School in 1970 and worked as a journeyman electrician and then an electrical estimator, retiring from Grid Electric in York. Anyone who knew Jeff couldn’t help but appreciate his eye for detail.

In addition to his wife Cindy, Jeff’s family includes his sister Robin Baker, 9 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great nephews.
