Jean Marie Walauskas Belba, 64, of Lancaster, passed away after a courageous battle with ALS on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at her home, with her loving husband by her side. Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Leo A. Clark and Elaine A. Durst Blough. Jean and her husband Stephen met nearly 20 years ago and instantly connected as soul mates. Their love came naturally as their bond as best friends and soul mates quickly fused as they took on life together. They finally wed on November 12, 2024. Jean always found the opportunity to enjoy the little things in life. The room would illuminate whenever Jean entered and her smile was nothing short of infectious. Her positive attitude provided both zest and leadership to those around her. For the last seven years her leadership position at Kitchen Kettle Village also allowed her to serve as a mentor to the younger generation. She was an avid gardener who found great joy outdoors. Music was another love of Jeans, listening to alternative music and often dancing in the kitchen on Saturday evening are where some of her favorite moments in life were created. Fishing and day trips were also fit in amongst all of Jean's passions.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Steve, are two children, Faith and Luke Walauskas. Also surviving are her siblings, Dan R. Blough, Denny O. married to Patty Blough, David L. Blough, John P. Blough, and Sue L. married to Dave Haldeman. Preceding her in passing are two sisters, Lita Blough, and Deb A. Lau.
