Jean M. Campion, age 94, beloved mother, grandmother and cherished member of the community, passed away on February 4, 2026, at St. Anne’s Retirement Community in Columbia. Born in New Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Anna C. (Doyle) Wuster.
Jean graduated from St. Stephens High School in Port Carbon, PA. in 1949 and went on to marry her beloved husband, Joseph G. Campion, on March 26, 1951 which lasted until his passing in 2004. Jean and Joe left the coal fields of PA in May of 1964 and relocated the family to Lancaster. Jean was a dedicated parishioner at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, where she served as the membership chairman of St. Philip's Guys & Dolls, embodying the spirit of community and connection.
Her professional life was marked by 21 years as an operations clerk in the trust department at Fulton Bank, from which she retired in 1988. Jean's unwavering commitment to her work and her family has left a lasting impact on those who knew her.
Jean is survived by her three children: Margaret A. “Peggy” Null (wife of Paul) of Lancaster, Joseph P. Campion (husband of Nancy) of Bettendorf, IA., and Colleen Weyhausen (wife of Gary) of Fayetteville, GA.; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jean is preceded in death by her two sisters, Sister Mary Incarnata, R.S.M. and Helen M. Scharadin.
Family will receive friends at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603 on February 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anne’s Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA 17512.
