Javeson "Jay" Flory

Javeson J. "Jay" Flory, 12, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Born in Lancaster, he was the beloved son of Justin and Vangie Rynn Flory. This year, Jay eagerly entered the 7th grade in the school district of Lancaster. He was a wrestler and soccer player from the time he was 6 years old. Sports were such a big part of his life, and he put his heart into everything he did. He could often be found teaching his siblings tips and tricks to continuously improve their own game. His siblings were one of his main focuses. Playing with his baby brother and playing nightly games of FIFA soccer with his older siblings were only some of the things they did together. One of his favorite delicacies was seafood, particularly his love for mussels and sushi. He enjoyed watching Youtube Soccer videos and playing Roblox and Fortnite in addition to FIFA. His kind heart and jokester personality brought others to him effortlessly. Even at his young age, he was known to be responsible and polite by family and friends alike. Jay had a sense of adventure and would take evening rides on his e-scooter to friends' houses, where he could just be a kid with them. Summer trips were spent with his Mama and Papa on their Florida farm, creating many great memories. He mastered the zero-turn mower and became skilled at safely starting and finishing a raging bonfire.

In addition to parents Justin and Vangie, surviving are siblings Josiah, Kaleia, Jonahvan, Janavie, Julieve, and Jevyn. Also surviving are maternal grandparents Philip and Lily Rynn, lovingly known as his Mama and Papa, as well as aunts and uncles, Mark, husband of Mari Rynn, and Michael Rynn. Preceding him in passing were his baby sister, Javelyn (Ivie), and his maternal grandmother, Florence Flory.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Jay at Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street, PA 17584 on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM. We kindly ask for his friends to wear their favorite soccer jersey or wrestling shirt, as both sports were his passions. Jay's favorite color was green, so we welcome all friends and family to wear anything with green in his honor.
