James V. Finefrock, Sr.

James V. Finefrock, Sr., 92, of Luther Acres Retirement Community, Lititz, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles F., Sr. and Ethel Mae (Yellets) Finefrock. Jim was the loving husband of the late Jaunita (Gore) Finefrock, who died in 2022. Together, they shared 62 years of marriage.

Following his graduation from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1951, Jim proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He earned his accounting degree and worked for Stauffer Diesel until his retirement.

Jim was a loving, kind, and generous person and was loved by all who knew him. Both he and his wife, Jaunita, had many friends and enjoyed having family and friends over to play cards and enjoy a meal together. Jim was a highly organized individual and also enjoyed golfing, swimming, and volleyball.

Jim is survived by his children: Deborah, wife of Barry Carter, of Mount Joy, James Finefrock, Jr., husband of Theresa, of Powderly, Kentucky, and Sandra, wife of John Longenecker of Ruckersville, Virginia; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his siblings: Luther, Victor, Harry, and Charlie Finefrock, Ethel Bowser, and Betty Jordan.

Services for Jim will be private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions honoring Jim's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
