James B. "Jim" Ream

James B. “Jim” Ream, 89, of Lititz, PA, took his final flight, kissing the clouds on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Hospice & Community Care of Mount Joy. His final hours were spent resting comfortably with his family by his side.

Born in Ashland, OH, he was the son of the late George Nelson and Ellouise Grace (Baxter) Ream. He was the loving husband of Marta (Garner) Ream. They shared 47 years of marriage.

Jim served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he served as a helicopter pilot. Following his military service, Jim continued his career in aviation. He worked for 27 years flying corporate jets for Armstrong World Industries before retiring.

Jim was a man who enjoyed staying busy and could fix or build just about anything. He had a passion for antique clocks and enjoyed repairing them. He also enjoyed woodworking, building model airplanes, and tinkering with various projects. He was truly a jack of all trades. One of Jim’s greatest sources of pride was his fully restored 1940 Ford Coupe.

He is survived by his wife, Marta; his son, Bradley Ream and grandson Jake; his stepchildren Beth (Jason) Frey and grandchildren Cate and Brady; Michael (Christine) Shultz and grandchildren Gabe and Ana.

Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.
