James W. Morris

James W. Morris, 46, of Mount Joy, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Born in Darby, PA, he was the beloved son of Suzanne (White) Morris and Thomas Morris, Sr.

James found joy in life's simple pleasures and the people he loved most. He had a creative spirit and enjoyed playing the guitar and expressing himself through writing poetry. Jimmy was an avid reader and passionate gamer, and found joy in escaping into the stories and adventures each had to offer. He also loved spending time in the kitchen, trying new recipes and sharing his latest creations with family during holidays and family celebrations. Above all, James cherished time spent with his family, creating memories that will be treasured.

In addition to his loving parents, James is survived by his siblings: Anne Parker and her husband, Richard, of Lancaster, Michael Morris and his wife, Amy, of Manheim, Thomas "Tom" Morris and his wife, Ginger, of Lancaster, and Joseph "Joe" Morris of Lancaster. He was a proud uncle to Aurora Parker, Alayna Parker, Michael Morris, Grace Morris, Chloe Morris, Luke Morris, Noah Morris, Gordon Cahill, and Bri Cahill. He will also be deeply missed by his faithful canine companion, Bo. He was preceded in death by his sister Jennifer Cahill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601 at  10:30AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.  Interment will be held privately.  

Those who knew James will remember his quiet kindness, his creative heart, his love of learning, and the happiness he found in sharing good food, meaningful conversations, and special moments with those he loved.
