Jacqueline F. Zangari

Jacqueline F. Zangari, age 94, of Lancaster, passed away February 4, 2026. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George B. and E. Elmira (Rineer) Fitzgerald and the loving wife of the late Louis J. Zangari, whom she celebrated over 68 years of marriage until his passing in 2022.

Jacqueline was a devoted homemaker and an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she attended daily Mass. Her enthusiasm for life was evident in her many interests. An avid fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Philadelphia sports teams, she filled her home with cheering during games. Jacqueline also found joy in playing Bingo, engaging in her favorite television series, *M.A.S.H.*, and solving crossword puzzles.

An artist at heart, Jacqueline displayed her creative talents through needlepoint, crocheting, sewing, and ceramics, often gifting her beautiful creations for family and friends. Above all, her greatest joy came from her grandchildren, with whom she shared boundless love and cherished moments.

Jacqueline is survived by her loving children: Louis George Zangari, husband of Donna, Marianne Zangari, James V. Zangari, Rosemarie Tivoli, wife of Romeo, and Elizabeth A. Walton, wife of John, all of Lancaster. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Romeo, Maria, Adam, Gabrielle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St, Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment to follow in St. Joseph’s New Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jacqueline’s memory may be made to the church at the above address.
