Hugh Worley, 94, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026. Born in 1931 in Venita, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late John and Meredith Worley.

Hugh proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1954. Following his military service, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. In 1953, he married his beloved wife, Bette, and together they shared nearly 74 wonderful years of marriage.

Hugh found joy in gardening and took pride in tending to his yard. He was an active member of The Gideons International, the Friendly Circle, and the American Legion in New York. His faith and community involvement were important parts of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bette Worley of Lititz; his children Charles Worley husband of Sandy, Timothy Worley husband of Nancy, Ann Linnell, and Craig Worley husband of Deb; his brother, James Worley; as well as 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A service honoring Hugh’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Chapel at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, with a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM and a reception to follow. Hugh will be laid to rest the following day at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Hugh’s memory to the Brethren Village Benevolent Fund or to Calvary Church, where Hugh and Bette faithfully attended for many years.
