Henry C. Haefner
Henry C. Haefner, 88, of North Wales, PA, formerly of Lancaster, PA, passed away on July 7, 2026. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Leon and Kathryn (Seabar) Haefner. Henry was the loving husband of 57 years to Bernadette C. (Sahd) Haefner.
A veteran, Henry served in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School, Xavier University, Rutgers Law School, and West Chester University. Henry was a self-employed attorney and public defender for the County of Lancaster. He received numerous awards throughout his life, including the LCHS Alumni Citation Award, the highest recognition given to a graduate. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and Mary Mother of the Redeemer and was a leader with his faith throughout his life. Henry was a Eucharistic Minister for altar and shut-ins. He was a former Advocate of the Diocese of Harrisburg and was an Associate of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. Henry adored the children in his CCD classes at Mary Mother of the Redeemer as he worked in developing children’s faith. Henry was a member and volunteer for over 24 years with the Knights of Columbus. He was a 4th Degree Knight.
In addition to Henry’s wife, Bernadette, he is survived by a daughter: Colleen M. Rosini, wife of Brian; grandchildren: Nathaniel A-C Rosini and Eva Annalyse Rosini; and sibling Josephine E. Stork. He is preceded in death by a son Anthony J. Haefner, and siblings Leon J. Haefner and Francis J. Haefner.
A viewing will be from 10-11 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Mary Mother of the Redeemer, 1325 Upper State Rd, North Wales, PA 19454. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 558 W. Walnut St, Lancaster, PA 17603. Henry will be laid to rest at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the grade schools at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church or Mary Mother of the Redeemer to the above addresses.
