Hector D. Valentin III

Hector D. Valentin III, 23, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Hector D. Valentin, Jr. and Sandra Vega.

Hector proudly served in the US Army as a Specialist (SPC) and was honorably discharged earlier this year. Outside of the Army, Hector enjoyed gaming, especially when he could play online with his family. He had a love for cool cars and enjoyed anything that caught his interest. As a child, Hector wanted to be a magician and loved doing magic. Those who knew Hector will remember him as a humble and kind person who could always be found with a smile on his face. He was brave, caring, and brought joy to those around him. Above all, Hector loved his family. They meant everything to him, and the time he spent with them was among the most important parts of his life.

Hector is survived by his parents, Hector D. Valentin, Jr. and Sandra Vega; his maternal grandparents, Isabel Irizarry and Jose Vega; his paternal grandparents, Hector (Marysol) Valentin and Magally (Alex) Carlov; his siblings, Anthony Rayford, Jesse Rayford, Melvin Rayford, Allysha Valentin, and Jason Valentin; and his fiancé, Natalia Trillo.

Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 12PM to 2PM on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. There will be a time of sharing to follow beginning at 2PM for anyone who would like to say a few words about Hector. Interment will be held at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
