Halina H. de Sousa

The family of Halina H. de Sousa, age 66, of Lancaster, announce her unexpected passing following an accident on Monday, March 16, 2026. Born in Poland, she was the daughter of Jadwiga and the late Jerzy Lisek. She was the loving wife of Jorge de Sousa

Halina was an extraordinarily gifted tailor, acclaimed for her exquisite creations in clothing and home furnishings. Her artistry extended beyond fabric, as she diligently pursued various DIY projects and found joy in teaching others the craft she so dearly loved. A master of craftsmanship, she created beautiful jewelry and pins in her leisure time, sharing her knowledge and inspiring others to explore their own creativity. An avid traveler, Halina brought a spirit of adventure to her life, eagerly embracing new experiences and cultures. She also found solace in her garden, where she tended to her plants with the same care she showed to her family and friends. Halina’s beautiful smile and kind heart touched everyone she met, embodying love and generosity in every interaction. Her legacy of love and creativity will endure in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Halina is survived by her husband of 15 years, Jorge de Sousa; daughters, Anastasia, Isabella, and Abigail; stepchildren, Benjamin, Alexis, and Troy; step grandchildren, Lucas and Rosalyn, and sisters, Anya and Lidia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601, at 11 AM, with Msgr. Peter I. Hahn as Celebrant. The family will receive guests from 10:30 – 11 AM.
