Gregory Allen Bachman

Gregory Allen "Greg" Bachman, 81, passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Brethren Village. He was the husband of Marie S. Bachman, sharing 58 years of marriage.

Greg graduated from Dallastown Area High School in the Class of 1962 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois "Circle Campus." Throughout his career, he worked as a corporate writer/marketing executive and consultant in various locations. He was a member of Lancaster Church of the Brethren and served as a SCORE mentor in York, PA, where he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience with others. Greg was also a talented writer and composer who wrote musicals and plays. He had a deep appreciation for creative writing and poetry and enjoyed participating in a local poetry group.

In addition to his beloved wife, Greg is survived by two children, Adrian D. Bachman and his wife, Erin and Marishka Bachman; two granddaughters, Kaelyn and Emma; and five siblings, Jan Bachman and his wife, Cheryl, Sharon Umbaugh and her husband, Dan, Gail Rosing, Neal Bachman and his wife, Evelise, and Wendy Marie DelMedico and her husband, David.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster, with Pastor Nancy H. Hess and Pastor Don Fitzkee officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Brethren Village Retirement Communities, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
