Gloria M. Snyder

Gloria M. Snyder, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2026, at the age of 92. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Katherin (Pleger) Stetler.

Gloria dedicated many years of her life to nurturing countless students as a cafeteria worker for the Lancaster School District, notably at J.P. McCaskey High School. Her warm smile and generous spirit ensured that no child left her service without a good meal. In addition to her work in education, she spent many valuable years at K-Mart, committed to customer service and retired from both industries after decades of service.

Beyond her professional life, Gloria was an avid bowler, where she spent much time at the lanes with friends. She loved to visit casinos and found solace on the beach. Whether it was watching antique television shows, completing puzzles, or tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, she approached life with joy. Her love for sports was evident, as she passionately followed the Philadelphia Phillies and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Gloria is survived by her daughters: Susan Zartman (Ted Zartman) and Deborah L. Snyder (Angel Santos); her grandchildren: Tara Snyder (Dennis Hess), Dustin Zartman, Anthony Santos, and Kristi Santos (David Corado); her great grandchildren: Franchesca Zartman, Ayden Stilwell, Julius Santos and Madelyn Santos; her bonus great grandchildren: David Corado, Jr. and Aleismarie Corado; her soon to be great-great granddaughter; her companion Lou Schrader and her beloved dog, Benji.

In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her brother Richard Stetler.

A celebration of Gloria's life will be held at a later date.
