Glenn E. Rudy, 64, of Lancaster, passed away at his home on October 4, 2026. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Zana Rudy. He was also the loving husband to Mary (Everett) Rudy for over 20 years.
After graduating from Lampeter Strasburg High School, Glenn spent many years as a metal fabricator at Goodhart Sons, Herr & Sacco, and SWF International, where he became a crew lead then to project manager. He also worked PT at Buck Motorsports Park for 30+ yrs. Glenn was known for his giving nature, something that led to him volunteering with the Refton Fire Company, racing tuff trucks, participating in ATV Cancer Rides, and was a speaker for ARD program in Dauphin Co. If you were ever in trouble, you knew you could rely on Glenn with his many talents and skills; and if he didn’t know how to do something, you could guarantee he knew someone who would teach him. In addition, you knew he would never judge or ask for anything in return. He loved building and tinkering with his tuff trucks, repairing cars/trucks or creating new things from scratch. He also enjoyed spending time with others, having fun and sharing a laugh with his family and friends.
Glenn is survived by his wife Mary; children Sheree Beveridge, Meagen (Shawn) Burkey, and Nicole Riker; siblings Shirley (Thom) Sullivan and Sharon Peters; 10 grandchildren; his brother-from-another-mother Allen Testerman; and 3 nieces and 2 nephews. He is preceded in passing by children Crystal Rudy and Douglas Riker.
