Gerald L. Buterbaugh

Gerald L. Buterbaugh, 69, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on October 21, 2026 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Rankin and Pauline (Probst) Buterbaugh.

A veteran, Gerald served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant. He worked in the satellite communications department for the U.S. Government. He was a huge motorhead and loved classic cars. In his younger years, he enjoyed outdoor activities, especially camping with his family.

Gerald is survived by 2 daughters: Jamie Russell (Matthew) and Mallery Prough; a son: Jayson Buterbaugh (Amanda); 6 grandchildren; and a sister: Kathy Driesbach.

Gerald was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Buterbaugh.

Friends will be received from 10-11 AM with a Celebration of Gerald’s Life to begin at 11 AM on November 3, 2026 at Snyder Bean Funeral Home & Crematory, 890 Isabel Dr, Lebanon, PA 17042. Gerald will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Military Honors.
