Gail D. Clauss, 74, of Rothsville, PA and formerly of Allentown, PA, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at UPMC Lititz, PA. She would have celebrated 55 years of marriage with her husband David R. Clauss this July.
Born and raised in Allentown, PA, Gail was the daughter of the late Webster and H. Betsy (Renshaw) Mann. She graduated from William Allen High School.
Gail worked for R.R. Donnelley & Sons, Inc. in Allentown and Lancaster, PA. She then worked as an administrative assistant in the middle school at Lancaster Country Day School in Lancaster.
Having a strong sense of right and wrong, and black and white, she was a constant champion for justice and spoke up when people were treated unfairly. Gail had legendary organizational talent. She was passionate about art, pottery, gardening, crochet, aesthetics, style, and design.
In addition to husband David, Gail’s family includes their son, Christian Clauss, husband of Stacy, of Lititz, and their children, Llana Ames, wife of Collin of Lampeter, PA, and Ellie Clauss and of Elizabethtown, PA and her boyfriend Daegen Vasquez, their son, Corey Clauss, husband of Michelle and their children Tristan Clauss and Dane Caluss all of Akron, and her siblings, Jill Marks, wife of Robert of Albertus, PA, Karen Larson, wife of Phillip of Houston, TX, and Glen Mann, husband of Cindy of York, PA.
Interment will be private.
