Fred H. Andrew

Fred G. Andrew, 78, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Oak Leaf Manor North.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Marguerite (Gibson) and Raymond C. Andrew. Fred was the beloved husband of Carol (Zook) Andrew, with whom he shared nearly 57 years of marriage.

Fred was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed spending his time outside whenever he could. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, crabbing, clamming, gardening, and water skiing. His love of boating began at a young age when he spent time on the Northeast River, and over the years, the water became a favorite place for him. He especially enjoyed boating on Indian River Bay. Fred was also a former member of the Rohrerstown Athletic Association.

More than anything, Fred cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol; his sons, Mark, husband of Leigh, of Washington Boro, and Matthew, husband of Aimee, of Abu Dhabi; and his five grandchildren, Abigail, Caleb, George, Jamie, and Esme. He is also survived by his sister, RoseAnn Sipe, wife of Bob.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home and Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park.

Fred and his family are very thankful for the excellent care he received from the staff at Oak Leaf Manor North in the last months of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunshine Fund at Oak Leaf Manor North or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
