Emily H. Myers

Emily H. Myers, 85, formerly of Strasburg and Quarryville, PA, passed away at Trillium Place, on Sunday, July 5, 2026. She shared 58 years of loving marriage with her husband Charles “Charlie” Wilson Myers, before his passing in 2019.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late James and Bella (Nottle) Hall. Emily attended Shippensburg University, where she met Charlie.

Emily devoted her early years to raising her children. Her involvement and encouragement was evident to all, especially her children. She continued to make an impact and have a career as a teacher’s aide at Solanco School District, and then as the Office Manager at Walker Oil Company.

She was very faithful and attended Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren.

Emily was family centered and was a great champion for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and so proud of all her children and grandchildren. Her best times were family gatherings and family travel. She loved participating in the friendly competition of family games. Emily was a positive influence on everyone she met and an inspiration to her family.

Her kind heart and friendly spirit attracted a host of great, lifelong friends. She was proud of her Irish heritage and led an impactful life and leaves an amazing legacy.

Emily’s family includes her daughter Kathie (Tom) Kreider of Quarryville, two sons, David (Melissa) Myers of Florida, and Curtis (Kim) Myers of Strasburg; seven grandchildren, Dustin (Shannon) Kreider, Kandace (Jeff) Barnes, Charlie Myers, Mason Myers, Abby (Nicholas) Gigliotti, Julia (Thomas) White, and Caroline Myers; and five great-grandchildren, Quinn Barnes, AJ Barnes, Tommy Kreider, Emily Kreider, and Ava Gigliotti. In addition to her parents and husband, Emily was preceded in death by her brother James Hall (Evelyn).

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 8:30 to 10:00 am, followed by the funeral at 10:00 am with The Rev. Dwight E. Lefever officiating, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Private interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
