Emilia "Milla" Ocasio

Emilia "Milla" Ocasio, 78, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2026. Born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rosa (Cotto) Dros. She was married 58 years to her beloved husband Jose Ocasio.

Emilia worked as a paraprofessional in New York and more recently with IU13 in Lancaster. She loved dancing, swimming, and traveling. Her grandchildren were always at the center of her world, and she had a special place in her heart for kids.

In addition to Jose, Milla is survived by 3 daughters: Josette Nieves (Antonio), Emilia Silva (Jose), and Jocelyn DiPinto (Vincent); 7 grandchildren: Antonio, Jaslyn, Justin, Alyssa, Ariella, Victoria, and Xzavier; 3 great-grandchildren: Layla, Amara, and Naomi; and 5 sisters: Anna, Carmen, Migdalia, Rosa, and Evaleise.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 6 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will receive guests beginning at 4 PM.
