Eleanore T. Granieri

Eleanore Granieri, age 98, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026. Born to Anthony and Bertha Wojewodzki, she was a graduate of Ferris High School in Jersey City, NJ. She had a successful career as a secretary at Sterling Salt.

A devout Catholic, Eleanore found solace and strength in her faith radiating love and compassion to everyone she encountered. Her warm heart and genuine spirit touched the lives of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of family and friends. Diane, a special friend, gave extra care and support to Eleanore in her final weeks. Also, Peggy, another close friend, and Jessie, her neighbor, provided valuable support and assistance, which contributed to Eleanore’s comfort.

Her surviving relatives include her nephew, Thomas Kiliyanski, husband of Joan Kiliyanski. Eleanore was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; sisters: Vernonica Alban, Clara Kiliyanski and Helen Satkovich; and her parents, Anthony and Bertha.

A visitation will be from 10-11 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 AM on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601. Eleanore will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ.
