Edward Charles Quinn

Edward Charles Quinn, 86, of Lancaster, passed away at his home on October 25, 2026. Born in Minersville, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Carrie Kercher Quinn. He was also the loving husband to Sharon L. Quinn for over 33 years.

Edward proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy Air, serving as a crewman on jet planes, he was a 2nd Class Petty Officer. Following his honorable discharge, he attended the PA State Police Academy and Hershey and served as a Pennsylvania State Trooper, a job that brought him to Lancaster. He also owned and operated a business called Lanco Septic Service after his retirement from the State Police.

Outside of his professional life, Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, boating, and spending lots of time in the summer at his and Sharon's home on the Chesapeake Bay. He and Sharon were very happily married and the two of them clicked instantly upon meeting. Over the years they traveled to the Caribbean, went on cruises, Hawaii, Myrtle Beach, with their favorite place being Aruba. At home, Ed enjoyed taking care of his home and yard, and making morning visits to Panera to meet with his friends.

Ed is survived by his wife Sharon; children Edward and Shannon; step children Darin McNally and Kelly Peters; grandchildren Alex and Max; and step grandchildren Jeremy, Keysha, Sophia, Jagger, and Declan. He is preceded by his sisters Caroline and Frances, and step son Brian McNally.
