Dorothy M. Reidy

Dorothy Marie Reidy, 97, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Neffsville Nursing & Rehab. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Lydia B. Immler Orem. She was the loving wife of the late Walter W. Reidy.

Family was important to Dot. She created a loving home and her skill in cooking, baking, and sewing were a blessing. Her Christian faith empowered her volunteer endeavors along with her husband throughout their married life.

Dot enjoyed crafting, reading, camping, and square dancing. The dancing had Walt and Dot joining clubs that brought them pleasure traveling to wonderful places.

Dot and Walt lived in Pennsylvania and Florida and treasured their time and experiences in both states.

Surviving are two children: Richard, husband of Susan Reidy, and Patricia, wife of Howard Liddic; two grandchildren, Charlene and Debra; two great-grand children, Erin and Shane. Surviving siblings are Shirley Conrad, Barbara Huebner, William Orem, and Sandra Spedding. Preceding her in death are two children, Ronald Reidy and Dennis Reidy, as well as a sister, Grace Wendling.

Services will be private.
