Dorothy Louise Raap, 89, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Pearl Tydings and Stanley Harwood, Dorothy lived with a lively spirit and sense of humor that stayed with her throughout her life. She enjoyed playing pinochle and poker on her computer, bowling, and trips to the casino. Her family will always remember her famous line, "I can't talk now, I'm in a poker tournament," which perfectly captured her playful personality.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kathy Schleupner, Susan Matheus, and Kimberly Shorter; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dee Zimmerman.
Dorothy will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
Private services will be held.
