Donna K. Martin

Donna K. Martin, 79, formerly of Calvary Fellowship Homes and Wakefield, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, surrounded by family at Trillium Place, Lancaster, PA. She shared more than 10 years of marriage with her husband, Paul Stauffer Martin, before his death in 2013.

Born in Lancaster, Donna was the daughter of the late Roy Greenawalt and Elizabeth Birkenheiser. She graduated from Penn Manor High School, Class of 1965.

She first worked as a nurse’s aide, then drove long-haul over-the-road routes with her husband Paul, and later worked preparing salads for John Herr’s Village Market.

Most important to Donna was the time she spent with her family. She also loved tending her vegetable and flower garden, canning, freezing, cooking, baking, crocheting, playing pinochle, and going to mud sales for quilts.

Donna is survived by her three daughters: Pam, wife of Brian Kennedy, of Pequea, PA; Reba Christy of Vancouver; and Jennifer Weitzel, wife of David Funk, of Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Tanner Kennedy (Jen), Abby Kennedy, Haley Hirthler (Andrew), Emily Lasko (Brock), Chase Funk, Azure Christy, and Arora Christy; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Dennis Greenawalt.

In addition to her parents, husband, and her beloved dog Autumn, Donna was preceded in death by her son, Barry Scott Weitzel, in 2025.

Donna's family will greet guests from 10 to 11 am, followed a celebration of her life at 11 am, on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584.
