Donna L. Gray

Donna L. Gray, 83, of Lancaster, passed away on June 8th, 2026 at Lancaster General Hospital.

She was the wife of the late John Michael “Bun” Gray, Sr., who passed away in 2008.

Born in Cape May, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. McKinsey and Rhoda McKinsey. Donna was a proud 1960 graduate of JP McCaskey High School and attend their monthly reunions, and stayed in close contact with classmates.

A hairdresser by profession spanning a more than 60 year career, she owned her own salon in Lancaster “Mari Ann and Donna’s ” and also “Main Magic.”

She loved spending time in the sun and enjoyed her pool at her home in Lancaster, loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed music, was very particular about her hair and makeup (she was always “on”) and had owned over 40 cars in her lifetime, from MGs to Corvette Stingrays, to Cadillacs and much more. She and her late husband traveled to the car shows at Carlisle and Hershey and were active members of the AACA.

Donna is survived by her loving grandchildren: Sarah Cygan married to Jamie of Maryland, Adam J. Evans of Columbia, Nicole Inslee of Mount Joy, Breyonna Gray of Lancaster and John Michael Gray III of Lancaster, and by her great granddaughter, Jazellie Marrero as well as many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelle Evans, and son, John Michael Gray, Jr.
