Donald W. Henderson, 82, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Luther Acres.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John and Esther (Herzog) Henderson. He was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Kelley) Henderson.
Don served in the U.S. Air Force before dedicating 41 years of work as a Lab Technician at ALCOA, where he remained until his retirement. Don cherished time spent with his family above all else. He had a love for trains and cars. He was a fan of old Western movies and rarely missed a chance to watch one. An avid baseball and football fan, he also had a deep appreciation for history and was known as quite the history buff. Affectionately known as the “music man,” Don was often seen traveling around Luther Acres Health Care Center with his radio, bringing a little extra joy wherever he went. He had a quick wit, loved to joke, and could always make those around him smile. Unselfish and humble, Donald quietly put others first and lived his life with kindness and grace.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and his children, Bob (Tanya) Henderson, Missy (Peter) Kleine, and Mindy (Nathan) Rittenhouse.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack Henderson.
Services are being held privately at the request of the family.
