Donald Douglas Baxter

Donald Douglas Baxter, 67, of Newmanstown, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Bruce R. and Bobbie Dean (Barnett) Baxter.

Don was a Chef by trade and worked for restaurants in Colorado and Lancaster. Of the Christian faith, Don was Southern Baptist. He enjoyed playing the guitar, watching the geese at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area with his best friend, playing video games, and was an avid reader.

Don is survived by his brothers: Alan Baxter, of California, Joseph Baxter, husband of Joyce, of Willow Street, and Brian Baxter, husband of Sherry, of Columbia. He is also survived by his nephew, Doug Peterson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryle Peterson and her husband, Brad.
