Dianne L. Williams, 83, of Akron, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, after facing cancer with remarkable strength, resilience, and bravery. Born in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ruth E. (Hoffman) and Albert C. Hake. She was the beloved wife of the late H. Richard Williams, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. In her later years, she found companionship and love with Arthur D. Remp, Jr. (“Danny”).
Dianne worked as a bank teller and supervisor for Fulton Bank for 35 years, where she was known for her dedication, strong work ethic, and kindness to customers and coworkers alike. She devoted much of her life to her family, her faith, and caring for others. A longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, she remained a dedicated supporter of the parish throughout her life.
Dianne found great joy in gardening, crafting, and spending time at the family trailer in the mountains. She was especially known for her wonderful cooking and baking, sharing food as a way of expressing love to everyone around her. Generous by nature, Dianne always put others before herself, frequently donating to charities even when she had little to spare. Earlier in life, she also dedicated her time and energy to supporting AIDS-related causes.
Above all else, Dianne cherished time spent with her family. She is survived by her daughters: Robin Andrews of Bowmansville, Shirley Williams of Wrightsville, and Rebecca, wife of R. Nelson Jones, of Lancaster. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Gary, husband of Melissa Andrews; Jaelynn, wife of Willie Oberholtzer; Trevor Williams; Rachael Andrews; Elizabeth Andrews; Reece, wife of Walter Zambrana; Hunter, husband of Rachael Jones; Madison Jones; and Morgan Jones; and her “adopted” grandchildren, Jacob Shirker and Miles Fritchman; along with eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis, wife of Robert C. Wimer, Sr., of Lancaster; her nephew, Robert C. Wimer, Jr., husband of Clayton P. Carroll, II; and many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
Memorial contributions in Dianne’s memory may be made to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, ASPCA, S. June Smith Center, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
