David M. Husser

David M. Husser, 65, of East Petersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 20th, 2026. Born in Danville, VA, he was the son of the late Ruth (Wade) and Gerard Husser. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Tovey), with whom he shared over 42 years of marriage.

Prior to his retirement, Dave worked as an Industrial Consultant for Veritiv for over 25 years winning numerous Pinnacle Awards and Sales Accolades. Post retirement, he worked part time as a Starter at his favorite local golf course; Iron Valley. He had tremendous generosity and gave his time as an active member of the East Petersburg community, belonging to the East Petersburg - Landisville Lions Club, the East Petersburg HOA, and the East Petersburg Day Events Committee. Through his community involvement, David enjoyed connecting with others and contributing to the town he called home.

Dave was a very outgoing and generous person who made friends easily and enjoyed life to the fullest. In his earlier years, Dave was a graduate of Warwick High School and recently created the “Class of 79’ Brew Crew”, where members of the class meet once per month and share stories and experiences. In college, Dave was a founding father of the Lamda Chi Alpha Chapter at Shippensburg University. Dave’s biggest passion was golf. In fact, he made a “Hole in One” on March 20th, 2019, on Hole 9 at Four Seasons Golf Club! He was lucky enough to play on a lot of prestigious PGA Golf courses and even attended PGA Tour events like the Men’s and Women’s US Open and the Men’s Ryder Cup. Every year Dave looked forward to playing in “Golf X” which was 72 hours of just playing golf. Another passion of Dave’s was hiking and traveling with his wife. He and Nancy were fortunate enough to travel all over and create new memories together. Most recently they just got back from Europe for the 2nd time. Dave looked forward to his annual fishing trip with the DAS Crew and even started crossbow hunting. Lastly, many may not know this, but Dave loved the Theater Arts, especially singing. He would always offer to sing whenever he got the chance, including church services, weddings, and funerals. Dave was always up for new things and brought warmth and enthusiasm to everything he did.

Dave had a heart for his family and put them above all else. In addition to his wife, Nancy, David is survived by his children, Derek Husser, husband of Aubrey, and Amanda Scrivano, wife of Andrew; and his beloved grandchildren, Brynn, Hadley, Collins, and Mia. He is also survived by his siblings, Ken Husser, Beth Thibault, and Jim Husser.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Family and friends will be received starting at 1:00 PM and the service will follow at 3:00 PM.
